Baby Teeth is the ultimate story of a dysfunctional mother-daugther relationship. Told through alternating perspectives between mother Suzette, and daughter Hanna, from one chapter to the next, two very different sides of the same story unfold. Both mother and daughter have unique circumstances which deter them from enjoying normal lives.
Suzette suffers from Crohn's Disease. This has caused her to have several surgeries, massive scars, a very limited diet and a fear that she will eventually not be able to recover from a flare up enough that she can function normally. Doctors have told her that her flare ups are closely tied to her stress levels. Suzette is also an interior designer, something that once brought her closer to her husband, Alex, that is, before Hanna.
Hanna started out as a sweet loving baby. Both Alex and Suzette were astonished at their miracle baby. As Hanna grew older, she never spoke. At seven years old, she has been expelled from each school she was enrolled in, endangered baby sitters, and even attacked toddlers at the grocery store. The thing is, she only does these horrendous acts in front of mommy. Hanna wants to put mommy over the edge, drive her away from their perfect home. You see, Hanna wants daddy all to herself.
Suzette soon learns that it seems Hanna won't talk rather than she can't talk. Hanna is no regular seven year old, with a determination to drive Suzette over the edge and convince her daddy it should be just the two of them. See how this psychological thriller unfolds and who is really in the wrong.
