In our current world of never ending comparison and social media, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is a breath of fresh air.  While everyone on Facebook seems to be having a perfect life, Eleanor sits with you and reminds you what real human connection and experience truly is...beautiful, and imperfect.  This book brings awareness to the very real hold that loneliness has on the mind and spirit, and is a much needed light amidst the darkness surrounding the subject today.  This book will not only aid in the discovery of what loneliness truly feels like, but also the power of kindness.  It is a profound and sweet reminder of the impact reaching out to friends and strangers alike has in our lives.  While also colorful and quirky, it’s hard not to fall in love with Eleanor and the wonderful oddities of her story.

Eleanor Oliphant is funny, unfiltered, and real.  At thirty years old, she lives a predictable, routine life and likes things just as they are, free from unnecessary social interaction.  Though comfortable, her heart tells her something is missing.  When she meets Raymond, the easy-going computer guy from IT, all of that changes.  Raymond is instantly intrigued by Eleanor, and with his help, Eleanor discovers the life-changing power of friendship.  Her story takes you by the hand and warmly points to the strength in vulnerability, opening your heart up to love, and letting go.

Heartfelt and inspiring, Eleanor’s metamorphosis will make you smile, laugh, and cry.   She is awkward and a little afraid, but oh so special.   I loved her dearly and so will you!
